Movement Series
“Movement” explores the idea that nothing and no one is static; movement as the representation of the synergy and contrast in cause and effect relationships.
Using photography as a method of observation, Helga aims to capture the visible and figurative elements of life that define the physical and existential movements of people. From the camera, she moves on to sketching, where she reinterprets the photographs and creates new abstract compositions and scenery.
Lines are used metaphorically to represent the ever-changing nature of the human experience. Finally, she experiments with colors, materials and textures to interpret the intricacies of emotions and capture the immediate impressions of her surroundings.
While her work depicts movement and agility of stroke, it offers a fascinating and deep impression of stillness.
Inspired by the colors of Tegucigalpa at sunset.
