Tegucigalpa, Honduras

Honduran artist, Helga Sierra, creates abstract art that is both a visual exploration of her surroundings and raw interpretation of her personal life experiences. She is one of the few female artists from Honduras exploring abstract art.

Her mark-making is influenced by speed and all of life’s sensations. Thus, her creation process becomes a cathartic experience where she plays with color, strokes, and textures to evoke her own language for dealing with change.

Recently her work has been shown in all of the major cultural centers of Honduras and in group shows in the United States, Portugal, El Salvador, etc.
