Helga Sierra is an artist + entrepreneur originally from the tropical country of Honduras and is available for free-lance work.
While my college education is in business & non-profit management, (I actually have an MBA in non-profit management from Lipscomb University), art remains one of my biggest passions (I was a part of studio for 10 years prior to college, completed an art minor, and have worked creatively since 2007).
So how do art & business work together?
Let's just say I have a large toolbox with many skills.
Unlike a "traditional" graphic designer, or "traditional" photographer, or "traditional" startegist I can merge 2 disciplines and solve problems through visual & creativ solutions. I'm always thinking of the strategy behind the message, the WHY of image, and will the end CLIENT actually take action?
My day to day is varied, but I like the diversity. I work with clients for their business needs: whether creating a strategy, implementing strategy, deciding art direction for a project, creating editorials or images for social media, or directing a photoshoot.
Do I do it all?
No, I work with other creatives when projects are larger than I can handle.
For the time being, art isn't my only income source, but I've said if one day my hands stop working, I'll teach myself how to paint with my feet. I'm inspired daily, and paint is my way to express what I see, what I feel. In 2017, I had my first solo-art show and took my art to several countries in different shows, as well as opened my online shop where my paintings have now taken new forms).
I will never stop creating.
Paint is freedom. Design is communication. Photography is observation. Business is necessary.
Ohh and I have a start-up non-profit to create transformation in the lives of children who live in at-risk neighborhoods through art workshops called LUNNA.
So the question is? How can I serve you create your next beautiful thing?
I've made a beautiful video to help you understand how we can work together.
